Javier (Gemini)
In 2004, Javier and Jenny became the Viscount Ballroom Salsa Champions and won the Fernando’s Hideaway salsa competition. In addition to performing and competing locally in Portland in 2004, they traveled to Los Angeles and New York City to perform with the group Salsa Con Sabor.

In September 2004, Javier and Jenny started to dance on their own under the name Gemini. Gemini got off to a great start in 2005 after winning the Tequila Ole Open Salsa Competition. In May 2005 they performed in LA at the West Coast Salsa Congress and on July 2005 at Congreso Mundial de Puerto Rico. While in Puerto Rico, they received a VIP invitation to a summer salsa congress in California. They jumped at the opportunity and attended the Palm Springs event in August 2005. Javier and Jenny plan to attend the Salsa Congress in Acapulco, Mexico in December 2005. Europe is hopefully Gemini's next destination in 2006.

As Javier and Jenny continue dancing, they look forward to the challenge of competing, performing, and teaching salsa locally, nationally, and now internationally.
